MATCH PREVIEW: COVENTRY V MILLWALL

The busy festive period continues again tomorrow as the Sky Blues return to action at the CBS Arena against Millwall in a Sunday afternoon Championship clash.

Following the 4-0 win over Plymouth on Thursday, the Sky Blues find themselves 15th in the Championship table as the Sky Blues look to get back to back wins for the first time this season after a period of inconsistent results against a Millwall side that are currently managerless after Neil Harris resigned before Christmas.

Millwall suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat away at Carrow Road on Boxing Day at the hands of Norwich City which saw them slip down to 13th in the Championship table after the last gameweek.

The two sides met just 5 games ago at The Den at the start of December in Frank Lampard's first away game in charge of the Sky Blues. A closely contested battle ended with a win for the Sky Blues thanks to a goal in the second half from inform winger Ephron Mason-Clark, which was helped in with some wind assistance in the build up. Millwall were refused a single shot on target in the game and were not up for the challenge which was set by Lampard's Sky Blues.

In their last five games, Millwall have just found the net twice, whereas Coventry have found the net eight times, with Mason-Clark being directly involved in five of those goals.

Coventry will still be without goalkeeper Ben Wilson and Haji Wright who remain sidelined from injuries suffered previously but have no new injuries to show. Mason-Clark may be a doubt after he was substituted off at half time due to a 'tight hamstring'. Millwall will be without experienced players such as Jake Cooper and Dan McNamara who have been sidelined for a few weeks, as well as some younger members of the squad such as Josh Coburn and Daniel Kelly who are also suffering from some injuries.

A win for the Sky Blues would see them leapfrog Millwall and as high as 10th, but a win for the visitors would see them remain ahead of the home side and also as high as 10th going into the New Year.

Kickoff is at 15:00 on Sunday 29th Dec.

Match Preview: Coventry City v Middlesbrough

The Sky Blues hosts Middlesbrough on Monday night at the CBS Arena in a top-of-the-table clash under the lights. The new league-leaders are looking to make it seven league wins on the bounce following victory at Brammall Lane last Monday. Match Preview: Coventry v Oxford United

The Sky Blues return to Championship football once again this weekend as they face off against Oxford United at the CBS Arena. Frank Lampard’s side will be looking to bounce back from consecutive away defeats against Norwich and QPR.
